Make your way to the Clarion Hotel The Edge, centrally located in the Arctic capital Tromsø. Enjoy a stroll through the town center and familiarize yourself with the charming town and its people, monuments and harbor.
After breakfast, explore the town some more. In the afternoon, take the fast ferry and enjoy a scenic drive crossing Senja, breaking a chat with your local driver. Upon arrival at Hamn i Senja, check into a modern suite with fjord views where you will spend the following two nights, exploring the stunning surroundings of this unique place. Discover the picturesque landscape and have a tasty local dinner in the restaurant before chasing the Northern Lights on your own in ideal settings surrounding the hotel.
Today, join the local guide on a wildlife-safari by boat. You are likely to see seals and white-tailed eagles in the clear and pure arctic waters and might even be lucky enough to spot whales. Enjoy the homemade lunch of the day in the excellent restaurant. Hunt the Northern Lights again this evening on your own and enjoy the unique atmosphere Senja has to offer. Enjoy a warm drink in the resort’s lighthouse while you wait for the Aurora to unfold her magic.
After breakfast, it is time to head back to Tromsø. Your local driver will bring you to Finnsnes port, where you board the coastal steamer, Hurtigruten, for a scenic journey back to town. Provided with a rich lunch buffet on board, you experience the authentic flare of these characteristic ships connecting the Norwegian coastal communities with one another. Check back into the modern Clarion Hotel The Edge in the heart of Tromsø, before heading on a husky adventure where you have the chance to learn about mushing in the Arctic and get to hunt the Northern Lights again.
Breakfast will be served at Clarion Collection Hotel The Edge. You have the day free, before you travel by bus or taxi back to the airport for your flight home. Transfer to the airport is not included.
