This five-day wilderness adventure will take you out on a Northern Lights tour and you will experience a snowmobile tour into the mountains, reindeer safari and dog sledding in the valleys around Camp Tamok. Welcome to the wilderness!
This five-day wilderness adventure starts with a Northern Lights tour at Camp Tamok on the first evening. After breakfast the follow morning the adventure continues with a reindeer sledding tour across the valley of Tamok. You will experience the art of lasso-throwing, visit a Sami lavvu (traditional herdsmen’s tent) and learn about the Sami history, culture and handcraft. In the afternoon/evening you will take part in a snowmobile tour into the mountains. Hopefully you will experience the magic moment when the Northern Lights are dancing in the sky above you. On day four of your adventure, a team of eager huskies is waiting to take you out dog sledding. You will learn how to train and groom dogs and your guide will provide detailed instructions about how to be a musher and lead a team of dogs.
Essential information
Warm woollen underwear and socks are recommended for this excursion.
Fleece is useful as a second layer. Warm outer clothes and boots will be provided.
Bring sunglasses and sunscreen (from February to April).
Camp Tamok is a wilderness camp and there is no running water (hot or cold) or flushing toilets. There is a sauna in the camp.
For your safety excursions might be shorter than described in situations of very low temperatures or bad weather.
Vegetarian food is available if ordered in advance.

Included:
- Accommodation (two nights at Clarion Hotel Brygge in Tromsø in a double room and two nights at Camp Tamok in a cabin or Sami tent/lavvu)
- Breakfast buffet at Clarion Hotel Bryggen.
- Dinner at Clarion Hotel Bryggen on the night of arrival
- Hot tub and sauna at Clarion Hotel Bryggen.
- All meals during excursions and stay at the wilderness camp
- Return transfers from Tromsø - Camp Tamok (75 min each way)
- Insulated body suit, warm boots, gloves and headwear for use on the excursions and at the camp

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tromsø. Spend the first night at Clarion Hotel Bryggen, a modern design hotel in Tromsø. Dinner at Clarion Hotel Bryggen.
Enjoy the outdoor hot tub and sauna on the top floor for free.
Day 2: Breakfast and lunch at Clarion Hotel Bryggen. Time at your leisure before transfer to Camp Tamok at 16.45 (Pick up from Rica Ishavshotel,, next to Clarion Hotel Bryggen) Northern lights tour in the evening. Stay overnight (in a lavvu or cabin) at the wilderness camp at Camp Tamok.
Day 3: Breakfast and reindeer sledding (2,5 km) in the morning. Snowmobile tour (2-3 hours) in the afternoon/evening. Stay overnight at the wilderness camp at Camp Tamok.
Day 4: Breakfast in the morning and a dog sledding adventure (2-3 hours) before transport back to Tromsø in the afternoon (15.45). Dinner at Clarion Hotel Bryggen.
Day 5: Breakfast at Clarion Hotel Bryggen. Time to explore Tromsø at your leisure, including its various museums and charming city centre.
